Well, the fall leg of the Chrisitan Bennett tour is officially over. My sincere thanks goes out to all who have so graciously hosted my signings, as well as to all the fans and readers who not only came out to see me, but also took a chance on another of my books. I sincerely enjoyed being with each of you, and appreciate your support more than I can express.

I look forward to seeing you all again in the near future, and will continue striving to give you the best work I can give. Your loyalty means the world...

Until then, my warmest regards,

Vicki Allen

It's hard to believe that the "Christian Bennett" tour is drawing to a close. It has been a busy six months since "Christian" made his debut, and though a tad bit road weary, I have enjoyed every minute. How lucky I am to have such fabulous readers as well as have opportunities to meet them. My thanks to all who have so graciously hosted my signings, and to all those who came out to see me along the way.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I am doing my first public reading this weekend--at Baton Rouge Gallery on Sunday, November 8. Come out and witness history! :)

Sunday, November 08 2009, 4:00pm
Baton Rouge Gallery's Sundays@4 program welcomes Vicki Allen, who will read from her novel Drink One to Me, Christian Bennett. The novel is a cautionary tale that details drug cartels, southern sentiments, foreign bars and why one should never take cocktails from a stranger. Sounds like good advice. Free. 4 pm at 1442 City Park Avenue

October was filled with Festivals--Wonderfully fun book festivals in Nashville, Baton Rouge and Austin.

Southern Festival of Books, October 9-11: held at the War Memorial Plaza in downtown Nashville. Always a great time, and this year was no exception, despite the WILD weather! My thanks to Humanities Tennessee for a very well-run and organized event, and a big Hello to all my friends --both old and new--I met there.

Louisiana Book Festival, State Capitol Grounds, Baton Rouge, October 17: My first time to attend Louisiana's Book Festival and I was so impressed. Incredible venue (who can beat the view!~) along with a huge variety of activities, entertaiment and vendors. Thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to go again and again.

Texas Book Festival, State Capitol, Austin, October 31-November 1: Another impressive event--our first time to attend. Beautiful Capitol and outstanding grounds, Great Set-up, Big crowds--I even got a peek and picture of author Sandra Brown! Like Louisiana, lots of children's activities, food and musical entertainment. Loved Austin and their awesome Halloween celebration downtown. Next time, I'll bring a costume!

My "Christian Bennett" tour is drawing to a close. Only 4 more events~~~hope you can make it out to one
